New World Curling Athlete Commission elected
World Curling has confirmed the composition of its Athlete Commission following the conclusion of the 2026 election process.
The Athlete Commission serves as the collective voice of high-performance curlers within World Curling, representing athlete interests and work in partnership to help shape the future of the sport.
The Commission acts as a vital link between athletes, the World Curling Board, the Rules and Competition Commission, and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Athletes’ Commission.
Reflecting the diversity of curling, the Commission includes representatives from women’s, men’s, mixed doubles, wheelchair curling, and the World Curling Team Ranking System (WCTRS) disciplines.
The 2026 election period for the World Curling Athlete Commission closed on Friday 5 June.
According to the Commission’s Terms of Reference, six positions were open, while Eve Muirhead (Scotland), Harri Lill (Estonia), Collinda Joseph (Canada), and Benoit Schwarz-van Berkel (Switzerland) continue their term until the 2028 elections.
Based on the results, the following athletes join the current members on the Athlete Commission:

- Tori Koana (Japan) – Female Mixed Doubles Representative
- Geir Arne Skogstad (Norway) – Male Wheelchair Curling Representative
