Scotland women and United States men win gold at ACE & Company World Senior 2026

After nine days of competition, the ACE & Company World Senior Curling Championships 2026 — that saw a record 57 teams compete — came to a close, with Scotland women and United States men emerging as champions.

Women’s competition

Scotland’s women successfully defended their title when Jackie Lockhart led her team to a 10-1 victory over Germany in just six ends of their gold medal final, helped largely by steals of three points in both the second and sixth ends.

At the same time, Canada’s women, skipped by Sherry Middaugh, took bronze medals, beating United States by 8-1.

The Scottish gold medal winning team are: skip Jackie Lockhart, third Mairi Milne, second Claire Milne and lead Katie Loudon.

The German silver medal winning team are: skip Sabine Belkofer-Kroehnert, third Heike Schwaller, second Michaela Reilly and lead Christina Haller, supported by alternate Martina Knobloch and coach Bernhard Mayr.

The Canadian bronze medal winning team are: skip Sherry Middaugh, third Karri-Lee Grant, second Melissa Foster and lead Jane Hooper Perroud, supported by coach Wayne Middaugh.

Men’s competition

In the men’s senior championship, Mike Farbelow led the American men to a 7-5 win over Scotland to take gold, while Bruce Korte skipped his team to a 7-4 win over Switzerland to complete a Canadian bronze double.

The United States gold medal team are: skip Mike Farbelow, third Rich Ruohonen, second Bill Stopera, lead Darren Lehto, supported by coach Pete Annis.

The Scottish silver medal winning team are: skip Tom Brewster, third Frazer Hare, second Robbie Stevenson and lead Don Frame.

The Canadian bronze medal winning team are: skip Bruce Korte, third Darrell McKee, second Kory Kohuch and lead Rory Golanowski, supported by alternate Arlen Hall.
