Registration open for the Winter World Masters Games 2024 curling events
The Winter World Masters Games is the most important winter multi-sport event for athletes over 30 years of age and its mission is to promote the “sport for all” philosophy of the Olympic Charter.
The next edition of the event, the Winter World Masters Games Lombardia 2024, will run from Friday 12 to Sunday 21 January and will be organised with the support of the International Masters Games Association.
Hundreds of athletes, volunteers and enthusiasts will gather in the municipalities of Aprica, Bormio, Chiavenna, Chiesa in Valmalenco, Madesimo, Pellizzano, Ponte di Legno – Tonale and Vermiglio and enjoy 15 winter sports, including curling, alpine skiing, biathlon, ice hockey, snow run and ski jumping.
The town of Sondrio will host the Opening Ceremony on Thursday 11 January.
Curling competitions
The curling events will take place from Monday 15 to Sunday 21 January in the charming town of Madesimo.
The field of the mixed teams consists of 18 teams and the competition is open to players over the age of 35.
The mixed doubles event has a 12-team field and players shall be over 50 years of age.
