World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event play-off picture

Following round-robin play within four groups, the play-off teams are now confirmed at the World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event in Dumfries, Scotland. Round robin concluded on Tuesday evening for the 26 teams competing for one of four spots available at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2024.

The groups were:

Group A: Germany, India, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Chinese Taipei and Ukraine

Group B: Austria, China, France, Jamaica, Poland, Portugal and Wales

Group C: England, Guyana, Hong Kong, Hungary, Mexico and Slovenia

Group D: Belgium, Brazil, Finland, Lithuania, New Zealand and Slovakia
* bolded teams qualified for play-offs

Within these groups, Germany and Ireland qualified from Group A, China and France from Group B, Hungary and Hong Kong from Group C and Finland along with New Zealand from Group D.

Now, the play-off brackets are set for 10:00 on Wednesday 6 December with the following matchups:

Germany versus Hong Kong
China versus New Zealand
Hungary versus France
Finland versus Ireland

The winners of these games will play in the next ‘A-Road’ play-off round at 15:00 on Wednesday. At the same time, the losers drop down to play in the ‘B-Road’. The two winners from the ‘A-Road’ play-off games will qualify for the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2024, while the losers will drop down to the ‘B-Road’ finals on Thursday 7 December at 10:00.
