Into the Last End
The Canada v United States game is TIED 6-6 going into the eighth end.
The Latvia v China game is seemingly Latvia’s, given that they have a 3-point lead and are currently sitting two stones, but in mixed doubles, anything can happen!

Tied Game Going Into the Eighth
Sweden’s Viljo Petersson-Dahl threw a hit in an attempt to score two, but rolled out, scoring the single to tie the game going into the last end.
First Two On the Ice
These two semi-finals are quite close! Canada scored two against Scotland in the fifth end, making them the first team to put two on the board this session!

Fifth End Measure For One
In the fifth end, Sweden was lying two, forcing China to play a hit and roll for the single. While China made the shot, they rolled into the back twelve-foot. As Sweden also had a stone in the twelve-foot, the point was determined by a measure in which China was awarded the point.
The score is now 2-1 for China. Sweden have hammer in the sixth end.

At the Break
After four ends, here are your semi-final scores:
- China 1-1 Sweden
- Canada 1-1 Scotland
Calm first end
The first end of semi-final play was relatively calm, as China picked up a single on Sheet C and Canada blanked on Sheet E. No doubt this serenity will be short lived as all four teams are vying for a coveted spot in the gold medal match.

Latvia Employ Power Play
It’s the eighth end on Sheet C, and Latvia has decided to employ their power play to try to secure the win. Slovakia is down by two, so they are in a must steal situation if they want to send the game into an extra end.
United States Scores ANOTHER Four
This game between United States and England is constantly going back and forth. Right after England scored their five, United States made a runback to score their second four of the game! The score is now 11-9 for United States going into the final end.
Perfect Power Play for England
England’s Rosemary Lenton and Stewart Pimblett used their power play in the sixth end to try to generate some momentum and close the gap in the score. Thanks to five perfectly placed shots, they scored FIVE points and took a 9-7 lead.
The game is now in the seventh end, United States sitting three with hammer. What a close game!
Latvia Pick Up Three
Latvia made a nice hit and stick for three points in the fifth end. The score is now 5-4 for Latvia.
Score Update
Here are your scores at the fourth end break:
- Slovakia 4-2 Latvia
