World Curling Training Centres are versatile facilities capable of hosting local and national events, providing a platform for elite talent development and the promotion of curling. These centres play an important role in fostering the sport’s growth by nurturing talent, promoting accessibility and inclusivity, and offering a diverse range of curling experiences and programmes for participants and spectators.
Criteria
- National-standard ice quality with essential support spaces
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability through energy efficiency, waste management, and environmental policies
- Operational excellence in facility management, safety protocols, and event hosting capability for regional or national competitions
- Support for athlete development and community engagement
Certification Process Overview
- Download and complete the Expression of Interest Form available below
- Email completed form to [email protected]
- Receive the Applicant Package
- Complete and submit via email the Application Form and other required documents (facility details, safety protocols, operational data, etc.)
- Review by World Curling GFCP Assessor and final decision by World Curling on certification
- World Curling to inform of the certification decision and share the Training Centre Certification Pack accordingly

Facilities that can support both recreational and competitive curling, with a commitment to sustainability and community programming.
Timeframe for Certification
Typically 3-6 months, depending on the complexity of the application and inspection requirements.
Recertification Reminder
Certification is valid for four years, with annual data submission requirements and a reassessment for recertification.
