Global Facilities Certification Programme
The World Curling Global Facilities Certification Programme is a strategic initiative designed to foster the development of world-class curling facilities around the globe. The programme aims to create a global network of certified venues that adhere to high standards of operational excellence, sustainability, and inclusivity.
Curling facilities are fundamental to our sport and it are vitally important to allow us to continually attract new participants and retain players by providing the best services possible.
With increasing energy costs around the world and societal factors continually changing leisure time activities, we have implemented the Global Facilities Certification Programme to establish a network of certified venues with the aim of providing consistent benefits to the curling community.
Through a structured certification process, the Global Facilities Certification Programme enables facilities to enhance their operational standards, attract investment, and support curling’s global growth with the support of experts. The certification programme ensures that curling venues meet clearly defined benchmarks across three levels of certification, beginning with the World Curling Recognised Facility.
Each level corresponds to a facility’s infrastructure, capacity, and strategic goals, providing a pathway for facilities to elevate their operations and contribute to the sport’s future.
