Championship naming convention update
Following consultation with the World Curling member working groups, the naming convention for the World Championship B and C events has been updated.
The B-Division championships will now be known as:
- World Championship Qualifier
The C-Division championships will now be known as:
- World Championship Pre-Qualifier (Europe)
- World Championship Pre-Qualifier (Pan Continental)
These changes will be put in place immediately and used for the upcoming championships in Dumfries, Scotland for the Pan Continental event and Ljubljana, Slovenia for the European event.
These events have been introduced to the World Curling calendar as part of the new competition structure for the 2026–2030 Olympic cycle.
