Mixed doubles curling starts Milano Cortina 2026 action
With nineteen days of competition scheduled, curling will sit at the heart of the action at the MiIano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
Curling gets underway two days before the Opening Ceremony on the evening of Wednesday 4 February with the opening session of Mixed Doubles play at 19.05. The sport will conclude with the women’s team gold medal final on the morning of Sunday 22 February, ahead of the Closing Ceremony. In total, ten mixed doubles duos and ten women’s and men’s teams will compete across round-robin sessions, followed by knock-out games as they battle it out for Olympic titles and medals.

All three curling competitions will take place at the iconic Cortina Olympic Stadium in Cortina d’Ampezzo, which was originally built for the 1956 Olympic Winter Games.
Qualification for each discipline followed three routes: Italy qualified as hosts, while the top seven National Olympic Committees (NOCs) in the previous two years of world championship competition also qualified directly. The final two NOCs qualified through the Olympic Qualification Event (OQE), held at Kelowna Curling Club in December 2025.
