Women’s Junior-B Curling: 22 teams eye 2026 World Junior qualification
Following the Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships, 22 junior women’s teams have travelled to Lohja, Finland to compete in the World Junior-B Curling Championships 2025 from 7–13 December. The men’s competition will follow from 15–20 December.
This is the final chance to qualify for the World Junior Curling Championships 2026 in Taarnby, Denmark from 24 February – 3 March. The top three finishing teams will earn their Member Association spots for 2026.
The field is split into three groups where they will play a round robin within their group. The top two teams in each group plus the two third ranked teams with the better Draw Shot Challenge qualify for the quarter-finals. Then, teams will be ranked 1-8 to decide the quarter-final matchups.

Group A: Australia, England, Estonia, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Romania, Türkiye
Group B: Chinese Taipei, Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, United States
Group C: Brazil, Czechia, Finland, Hong Kong China, Latvia, Scotland, Spain
Based on their results at the World Junior Curling Championships 2025, the following Member Associations have already secured their spots at the World Juniors 2026: Korea, Germany, Canada, Sweden, China and Switzerland. Denmark also qualify as hosts.
Round robin will begin at 9:00 on Sunday 7 December with the qualification games taking place on Friday 12 December at 16:00. The semi-finals are on Saturday 13 December at 10:00, followed by the medal games at 16:00.
