Men’s Junior-B teams to compete for 2026 World Junior qualification

The men’s competition at the World Junior-B Curling Championships 2025 will get underway next Monday.

From 15–20 December, junior men’s teams from around the world will travel to Lohja, Finland with hopes to qualify their Member Associations for the World Junior Curling Championships 2026, which are set to take place in Taarnby, Denmark from 24 February – 3 March. The top three teams from the World Junior-Bs will qualify.

The 20 teams competing will be split into three groups and play a round robin within these groups. The top two teams in each group plus the two third ranked teams with the better Draw Shot Challenge qualify for the quarter-finals. Then, teams will be ranked 1-8 to decide the quarter-final matchups.

Group A: Germany, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Türkiye
Group B: China, Chinese Taipei, Czechia, Latvia, Romania, Slovenia and Sweden
Group C: Australia, Austria, England, Hungary, Switzerland and United States

Based on their results from the World Junior Curling Championships 2025, the following Member Associations have already qualified for the 2026 edition: Italy, Norway, Scotland, Korea, Denmark (as hosts), Japan and Canada.

The round robin will begin on Monday 15 December at 09:00 with qualification games to follow on Friday 19 December at 19:00. The semi-finals will take place on Saturday morning at 10:00 to determine who will compete in the finals later in the afternoon (16:00).
