Türkiye to host first National Floor Curling Championship
The Türkiye Curling Federation are set to hold the first Türkiye National Floor Curling Championship in Samsun from 17–23 November 2025 in collaboration with World Floor Curling.
A total of 54 clubs representing 25 cities and 340 athletes will compete across men’s, women’s, and mixed categories, marking a significant milestone in the national development of floor curling in Türkiye.
World Curling is delighted that the Türkiye Curling Federation are bringing the National Floor Curling Championship to life. Having more than 300 athletes take part is a remarkable achievement and a clear sign of the sport’s growing momentum.
It is exciting to see the Federation embracing World Floor Curling technology to expand the sport’s reach and create even more opportunities within their communities.
Kenan Şebin, President of the Türkiye Curling Federation said, “We are thrilled to host the Türkiye Floor Curling Championship through the World Floor Curling Platform. This event is not only a national competition but also a celebration of our federation’s vision to expand curling opportunities across the country, especially for young athletes and schools. We believe that floor curling will serve as a bridge introducing more people to the spirit and values of curling.”
