World Curling Congress 2025 to begin in Gold Coast, Australia
The World Curling 2025–2026 season will officially begin on Friday 5 September when Member Associations from around the world gather in Gold Coast, Australia, for the World Curling Congress 2025. The event will conclude with the Annual General Assembly on Monday 8 September.
The 14th edition of the event will see delegates representing 46 of World Curling’s 76 Member Associations in attendance alongside members of the Athlete Commission and World Curling partners and sponsors.
Monday’s Annual General Assembly will be World Curling’s major forum for formal business where attendees will hear reports from World Curling President Beau Welling, the Board and other committees, as well as the annual finance report. There are no Board elections taking place this year.
During the Annual General Assembly, delegates will have the opportunity to discuss and vote on a number of constitutional amendments, as well as motions presented by Member Associations.
The World Curling 2024–2025 Annual Review will also be published at the Assembly.
In the days prior to the Annual General Assembly, World Curling personnel, Member Association delegates and other external specialists will partake in a programme of workshops, presentations and Q&A sessions. The topics will range from promotion of winter sports in the lead up to the Olympic Games, to the future of global sport and International Federations.
The programme also features panels where delegates will have the opportunity to meet World Curling’s two new Independent Directors, Andrew Ryan MBE and Zhang Hong.
A review of all topics discussed, and any formal decisions made at the Annual General Assembly will be provided at the conclusion of the Assembly. A digital copy of the Annual Review will also be published on World Curling’s website.
