Geneva to host World Mixed Doubles and World Senior Curling Championships 2026
Geneva, Switzerland has been officially confirmed as the host city for the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2026 and the World Senior Curling Championships 2026. The competitions will be held from 25 April to 2 May 2026 at the Centre Sportif Sous-Moulin, home of Curling Club Trois-Chêne.
Nestled at the southern tip of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) and set against the stunning backdrop of Mont Blanc, Geneva offers a spectacular setting for world-class curling. This will mark the second time the city has hosted these two championships, having previously welcomed them in 2022.
Geneva also boasts a proud history of staging major curling events. It was the venue for the World Women’s Curling Championship 1982, as well as the World Men’s and World Women’s Curling Championships 1993, all held at Patinoire des Vernets.

“Following the success of the 2022 editions, we are confident the Local Organising Committee will once again deliver an exceptional experience for athletes and fans alike.
“The timing of the event — shortly after the highly anticipated Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games — presents a great opportunity to build on the increased visibility and momentum of our sport.”
