World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles to begin in Stevenston
This week, the World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2025 begins in Stevenston, Scotland. Teams from around the world will compete for the championship title between 11-16 March.
At this event, teams will have their last chance to earn the final qualification points to secure a spot at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games.

This open entry event will see 21 teams compete for the world title. The teams competing are Brazil, Canada, China, Czechia, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Türkiye and United States.

Playing Format
The 21 teams have been divided into three groups.
The top two teams in each group, plus two third-ranked teams with the better draw shot challenge (DSC), will qualify for the quarter-finals and will be ranked 1–8 by comparing the DSCs of the teams with the same rank from each group.
The winners of the quarter-final games will advance to the semi-finals, and the winners of these games will play in the gold medal match, with the losers playing in the bronze medal game.

If you are interested in booking tickets for the entire championship, please fill out the questionnaire here. You will be contacted by the Local Organising Committee to process the championship pass.
All tickets are free. Any donations made are greatly appreciated and will go to support the Scottish Curling Trust who work diligently in archiving the history of Scottish Curling and supporting its future.
