16 teams advance to World Mixed Curling Championship play-offs

After six days of intense round-robin play at the World Mixed Curling Championship, the 16 teams advancing to the play-offs have been confirmed. The top three teams (four in Group C) from each group secured their spots in the 1/8 finals, set to take place on Friday at 9.00 and 13.00.

The advancing teams are:

  • Group A: Canada (7-0), Czechia (5-2), New Zealand (4-3)
  • Group B: Sweden (7-0), Poland (6-1), Italy (5-2)
  • Group C: United States (7-0), Spain (6-1), Slovenia (5-2), Scotland (4-3)
  • Group D: Norway (6-0), Japan (4-2), Netherlands (4-2)
  • Group E: Switzerland (6-1), Kazakhstan (6-1), Ukraine (5-2)

1/8 finals matchups:

9.00 games:

  • Sweden vs. Scotland
  • Poland vs. Czechia
  • United States vs. New Zealand
  • Switzerland vs. Ukraine

13.00 games:

  • Norway vs. Slovenia
  • Spain vs. Italy
  • Japan vs. Kazakhstan
  • Canada vs. Netherlands

The winners of the 1/8 finals will advance to the Quarter-finals at 19.00. The semi-finals will take place on Saturday, 19 October, at 9.00, with the gold and bronze medal games following at 15.00.

All games will be streamed live on the Curling Channel. Additionally, three feature games will have commentary.

  • #2 vs. #15 in the 1/8 finals (18 October at 13:00)
  • Quarter-final on Sheet D (18 October at 19:00)
  • Gold Medal Game (19 October at 15:00)
