Monaco joins World Curling as Conditional Member
World Curling welcomes Monaco as their newest Member Association, bringing the total number of members to 74, following approval from the World Curling Board.
The Monegasque Skating Federation currently has approximately 20 members dedicated to curling and aim to begin their competitive journey in the European Curling Championships C-Division on the women’s side.
World Curling President, Beau Welling said, “I would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest Member, Monaco. It is wonderful to see the World Curling Family continue to grow around the world.
“We are continuing to build pathways for our new Members to increase their development and education of our sport. Monaco will have the fantastic resources of the World Curling Academy and the advice of their peers available to them on their journey as an engaged and growing Member.”
“The Monegasque Skating Federation, in charge of curling in our country, is very proud to join World Curling as a Conditional Member,” said Gérard Ravera, President of the Federation.
“For the past few years, we have been developing the practice of curling within our Federation, and it seemed important to us to be recognized at the international level.”
