Colin Grahamslaw re-elected Secretary General of Winter Olympic Federations
Colin Grahamslaw has been re-elected Secretary General of Winter Olympic Federations (WOF), continuing his role at the organisation as it looks to strengthen collaboration and shape the future of winter sport.
Grahamslaw, who along with President Beau Welling represent World Curling within the organisation, was re-appointed at a WOF meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland, where members also confirmed the organisation’s leadership team. Welling will serve as a member of the Council alongside the Presidents of the other six Winter Olympic Federations.
He will continue to work alongside newly-elected WOF President Jae Youl Kim, President of the International Skating Union (ISU) and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board. Max Cobb of the International Biathlon Union was also re-confirmed as WOF Treasurer.
The meeting in Lausanne also provided an opportunity for the federations to receive updates from the IOC and Utah 2034 on preparations for future Olympic Winter Games.
For World Curling, Grahamslaw’s continued role at WOF provides an important link between curling and the wider winter sports community. His re-election will see him continue to contribute to discussions on the future of winter sport.
