Canada win bronze at ACE & Company World Mixed Doubles 2026
Canada beat Italy by 11-3 in just six ends to take home the bronze medals at the ACE & Company World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2026 on Saturday (2 May) morning.
The Canadians opened strongly when Kadriana Lott had a straightforward hit to open the scoring with four points.
Italy could only respond with a single in the second end when Stefania Constantini drew her last stone inside the sole Canadian stone already in the house, reducing Canada’s lead to 4-1.
The Canadians then added another score of three in the third end when Kadriana Lott played a draw to improve her team’s lead to 7-1.

In the fourth end, Italy’s Constantini played a soft tap-back to score one point and reduce Canada’s lead again, to 7-2. Italy then stole a single in the fifth end when, after a clear-out by Amos Mosaner, Lott was facing four Italian stones as she played a final draw. She was just too long with this shot, and gave up a steal of one, to reduce her team’s lead to 7-3.
In the sixth end, another impressive draw by Kadriana Lott gave Canada four more points for an 11-3 lead, and the Italians conceded.

Afterwards, an elated Kadriana Lott said, “That was pretty good. We wanted to stand on the podium this week. It’s just two steps further, but it’s still a medal and I’m pretty pumped to have my first world medal.”
She added, “I’m super proud of how we played this week, and we had a great game there to finish off the season.”

Meanwhile, her partner and husband Colton Lott said, “Every mistake they made, we capitalised on for the most part. We just stayed on top of the and never really gave them a chance.”
Speaking about lifting themselves up after a tough semi-final loss, Kadriana said, “I said to Colton ‘I want that medal so we’re going to come out fresh and start strong’, which we executed quite well.”

The Canadian bronze medal team is: female player Kadriana Lott, male player Colton Lott, coach Scott Pfeifer and national coach Viktor Kjell.
