Statement: World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2026 schedule reworked following second team withdrawal
Following a last minute personal issue, Nigeria have withdrawn from the Booster Juice World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2026.
With this second withdrawal, following team Russia’s visa delay, the schedule has now been reworked to rebalance the competition.
With this change in schedule, both Russia and Nigeria will be removed from the schedule and team listing as per the Rules of Curling, Rule C9 (e), which states:
“If one or more teams cannot start, finish or are disqualified from an event, the following will be applied:
I. A team does not start (DNS)
- If the draw is re-worked, the team is not listed anywhere.”
The updated schedule of play is now available on the live scores website.
