Semi-finals are set at the World Mixed Championship

After 24 sessions of round-robin play at the World Mixed Curling Championship 2023, in Aberdeen, Scotland, 12 teams advanced to the play-offs.

Sweden, Canada, Spain and Norway all completed an undefeated run in their respective round-robin groups, finished on top of their group and qualified directly to the quarter-finals.

Further eight teams played for quarter-final places in qualification games. The winners of those games—Australia, Belgium, Japan and Latvia—completed the quarter-final field.

In Friday evening’s quarter-finals Norway won over Latvia by 8-5, Sweden beat Belgium by 7-2, Spain defeated Japan by 6-4, while Canada overcame Australia by 7-3.
