It's Halftime!
Want to know how your team is doing so far tonight? Keep reading!
For starters, Team Canada is curling like a well oiled machine, holding a 4-2 lead over Team Norway. They certainly have the fans on their side with cheering squads on the ice and behind the glass!

On Sheet F, Korea is maintaining the lead over China, allowing the Chinese to only score a single before the halftime break for a 4-1 advantage. It’s a very animated battle with both teams yelling passionately as their stones sail down the ice.
United States and Italy are trading points each end and currently sit tied at 4-4.

Scotland and Czech Republic are also in a tight battle, with Scotland ahead in the 4-2 scoreboard.
Latvia and Denmark are in a close 4-3 game, Denmark with the slight edge.
Player Profile: Meggan Dawson-Farrell, Team Scotland
You never know what interesting facts you might find when researching the athletes here in Richmond! Take Scotland’s Meggan Dawson-Farrell for example.
Meggan started curling when she was 26 years old, and aspires to learn as much as she can about the sport. She also hopes to someday win a medal for Scotland at the World Championship – could this be her week?
Aside from curling, Meggan enjoys reading and doing jigsaw puzzles. In the future, she would like to travel to the Bahamas and swim with the pigs – how cool!

Gooooo Team!
Promising Start for Korea
It’s an Asia showdown on Sheet F – Korea v China
Korea opened the match with a score of three, followed by a steal of one. China is the only remaining undefeated team in the field, but is that about to change?

Extra End on Sheet B
What a steal!
Czech Republic went into the last end down one point and without hammer, but still managed to force the game into an extra end! Norway possesses the hammer once again, but will they be able to score this time or will the Czech’s steal again?
Curling is for EVERYONE!
“Curling is for all handicaps, you just have to find the right adaptations.”
Helping Hands
Have you ever wondered how wheelchair curlers clean their stones?
Here in Richmond, the curlers have volunteers assisting them with the cleaning and set-up of their stones, so they can concentrate on executing their shots!

Good morning from SUNNY! Richmond
It’s been a few gloomy days here on the West Coast of Canada, but today we are greeted with blue skies, sun and a full day of wheelchair curling.
A few housekeeping items:
Monday 6 March, Tuesday 7 March and Wednesday 8 March have new session times.
Games will now start at 9:00 (this has not changed), 12:30, 16:30 and 20:00. There was too quick of a turnaround in-between draws, especially with all of these extra ends!
