That's a wrap for today!
Here are the final results of the first women’s session
Germany win over Italy
After controlling the game throughout, Germany beat Italy by 8-3 in nine ends.

Back-and-forth game between Sweden and Denmark
Sweden took the lead for the first time in their game against Denmark after the eighth end (6-5). However, Denmark scored three in the ninth to retake the lead, at 8-6.
Norway's Kristin Skaslien on their win over Hungary
“The first game is always like… feel the ice, feel how it works. The ice is perfect!
We got off to a very good start and the Hungarians had to chase. We tried to keep it open, keep it simple, it was a pretty good game.
I was very happy with our performance. We had a really good feeling out there and we all played quite well.”
Scotland turn the game around
Scotland scored five points in three ends to go up 9-6 after nine ends of play against Turkey.
Silvana Tirinzoni on their win over Latvia
“Every win counts on the way to the play-offs. We didn’t make it last year, so that’s a good start!
With a new front end, this is totally different, with new characters and new energy.
As far as the result, it’s similarly successful, but the team is different. They’re playing amazingly, actually.”

Two games finish early
Switzerland won over Latvia by 10-2.
Norway beat Hungary by 10-4.

Switzerland take a seven-point lead after seven ends
Switzerland started the second half of their game against Latvia very strong. After scoring two in the sixth end, they stole two in the seventh to go up, 9-2.
