Benoit Schwarz removed the Scottish counter from the house and rolled out to keep the hammer, going into the eighth.
Scotland forced to draw for one
A brilliant hit-and-roll by Benoit Schwarz forced Bruce Mouat to draw for a single in the sixth end.
He executed it perfectly to go up, 3-2.
Switzerland tie the game
Benoit Schwarz made a cool draw for one to tie the game at 2-2, going into the fifth-end break.

Scotland scored two in the fourth end to get on the board. It could have been a bigger score, but Mouat’s double take-out didn’t turn out as planned.

“That was unexpected! I did not expect her to miss [Alina Paetz’s last shot]. She’s too good to miss that. I don’t know how it feels… I’ve just tried it [being champion] for a minute. It’s going to be a really good feeling for the rest of the year. I can’t remember the last time I got a gold medal in anything in curling. It has been a good week, hasn’t it? I don’t know what to say, I’m just very excited.”
