The World Curling Federation has indefinitely postponed its youth camp and all of its courses, which were set to take place in Fuessen, Germany in the summer of 2022.

In the annual youth camp’s over 20-year history, 2020 was the first year it was not possible to run it due to the global health crisis. In 2021 the camp was held in a virtual format.

“The indefinite postponement of the World Curling Academy Youth Camp and all of the courses planned for Fuessen, Germany this summer is devastating. We know how much the curling community look forward to travelling to this beautiful location to learn about and celebrate our sport. The uncertainty of the pandemic unfortunately does not allow us to safely plan for large gatherings at a location where we cannot create a controlled environment to ensure everyone’s health”, said Scott Arnold, World Curling Federation Head of Development.

The World Curling Federation is currently investigating a variety of possibilities to hold the youth camp.
