The Nigerian Men’s and Women’s teams have withdrawn from the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships 2021 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. After a late submission of documentation, it was determined by government officials that visas could not be issued in time for most of the athletes to compete as scheduled.

With their withdrawal, the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships 2021 will now consist of seven Men’s teams competing for one entry in the upcoming LGT World Men’s Curling Championship 2022 to be played in Las Vegas, United States and four Women’s teams competing for two entries in the World Women’s Curling Championship 2022 in Prince George, Canada.

The playing schedule will remain the same, with the exception of scheduled games against Nigeria to be replaced with an optional team practice.
