Statement: Positive COVID-19 case detected at European Curling Championships

During testing procedures for the European Curling Championships a positive COVID-19 case was identified amongst the local organisers following antigen rapid testing.

The World Curling Federation, the Local Organisers in partnership with the Norwegian Health Authorities are now following the COVID-19 response plan for the championship.

The individual has been isolated and the contact tracing process is currently underway and all appropriate steps are being taken, including confirmatory PCR testing.

With respect for the privacy of the impacted individual, no details of the individual will be released publicly at this time.
