Statement: Positive COVID-19 case detected at close of European Curling Championships

After the completion of the European Curling Championships a positive COVID-19 case was identified with antigen rapid testing and a confirmatory PCR test for the individual has been arranged.

The World Curling Federation and the Local Organisers in partnership with the Norwegian Health Authorities are now following the COVID-19 response plan for the event.

The individual has been isolated, the contact tracing process is currently underway and all appropriate steps are being taken.

With respect for the privacy of the impacted individual, no further details will be released publicly at this time.
