Per the World Curling Federation Rules of Curling and Rules of Competition, one team from the Host Association and eight qualified teams from the Kuntai World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2021 have earned their place in the 2023 edition of the championship — there are no World Wheelchair Curling Championships in Paralympic seasons.
However, as the host for the 2023 edition of the championship has yet to be confirmed, only the top eight ranked teams from the 2021 edition have currently qualified.
Should the host of the World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2023 come from the field of participants at the 2021 championship, the three lowest ranked teams from this championship will be relegated to the World Wheelchair-B Curling Championship 2022.
If the host does not come from the 2021 field of participants, four teams will be relegated to the World Wheelchair-B Curling Championship 2022 to allow for a qualification place for the host association of the 2023 championship.
Further information on both the host of the World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2023 and the relegated teams from this championship will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
