The World Curling Federation has taken the difficult decision to cancel the World Mixed Curling Championship 2021 set to take place in Aberdeen, Scotland in October.

Following further consultations, the decision to cancel was taken due to the impact on the early months of the 2021–2022 season caused by rescheduled events from the 2020–2021 season.

It was felt appropriate to cancel the championship to allow athletes and Member Associations to focus their efforts on the European Curling Championships C-Division and the Pre-Olympic Qualification Event, in what are still expected to be challenging times for hosting events.

The World Mixed Curling Championship will return to Aberdeen, Scotland in October 2022.
