At the end of the second day of competition, all participating teams had played at least one game, with the Czech Republic – who lost to Wales by 3-7 - being the only men's team to have played three games so far.

In the men's Group-A, Switzerland and USA top the table on two wins and no losses so far. Switzerland added a 10-3 win over Latvia yesterday while USA needed an extra end to beat Scotland by 7-6. Three teams top the men's Group-B, also on a 2-0 record. Canada beat Slovakia by 8-2 for their second win while Ireland had a 12-4 victory over the Netherlands in their Saturday (16 April) morning game. In the evening session, Israel beat Wales by 10-4 to join these two at the top of the leader board.

Three teams share the lead in the men's Group-C – England, Norway and New Zealand each have two wins. England beat Australia by 9-7 after an extra end, Norway defeated Denmark by 7-3 and, as will be the case for all other teams in this section, New Zealand were nominated for a win over absent Turkey.

In women's play, the Czech Republic and England lead the Group-A on two wins and no losses, thanks to England's 7-2 victory over Lithuania and the Czechs' earlier 10-2 win over the same team. Two teams top the women's Group-B - Scotland and the USA. Scotland beat Switzerland by 8-1, while USA had a 10-2 victory over New Zealand.
