Norway, Germany and Canada all won their games during session 13 at the World Mixed Curling Championship 2015 this morning (Tuesday 15 September), in Berne, Switzerland.

The three teams lead the way in group B having each won four of their five games. Norway beat Latvia, 5-3 in seven ends, Germany defeated Israel 6-5, despite their opponents securing three points in the eighth end and Canada stole two points in the seventh end against Australia to win 6-4.

Vice-skip, Jolene Campbell, was happy with the win, but is conscious improvements need to be made if the North Americans are to progress in this event. She said: “That was not our best effort, but it worked out and we are happy to get the win out of it. We are trying to build momentum and get wins at the same time because the competition gets tougher as the week goes on.”

Also in Group B, Finland beat Spain, 9-4.

During this session there were further wins for USA and Turkey, who are in Group D. Turkey edged past Brazil, 5-4, using the hammer to their advantage in the final end and securing the two points needed to win. USA defeated Estonia 6-3.
