Two of the British nations posted six end victories in the last session of day one at the World Mixed Curling Championship 2015. Wales defeated Australia 9-3, in their second game of the day, while Scotland beat Brazil 13-2. This win had the biggest margin of all games today.

Estonia joined a small number of undefeated teams on day one by posting their second victory against Belarus, 6-2. Hosts Switzerland and Sweden were the other teams to win two from two in the opening day of play.

After a very even start that saw Hungary and USA locked at 2-2 at the fourth end break, Hungary went on to defeat the North Americans, 7-3.

Finland began their game against Israel well, having recovered from an earlier defeat to Canada. They established a 6-2 lead at the fourth end break before going on to win 9-3.

Turkey also won their opening game, 7-4, against Austria. This was another close game, which could have gone either way. At the end of the sixth end Austria had a marginal lead at 4-3, but it was a three pointer in the seventh end that helped Turkey to their victory.
