Canada beat Korea by 9-4 in Thursday morning's seventh session of women's round-robin play to maintain their unbeaten record, take the lead in the rankings on their own, and seal the first qualification place in the weekend's Page Play-offs.

Despite this loss, second-placed Korea have also now qualified for the Play-offs in a clear second place on the rankings.

In other games, the USA maintained their strong challenge with a 7-3 win over Switzerland that puts them into a clear third place on the table, while Hungary claim fourth spot, thanks to an 8-7 extra end win over Russia.

Switzerland and Russia stay in contention for the Play-offs as do Sweden, who beat Japan by 7-5 to join these two in a shared fifth place. In the fifth game of the session, Scotland beat Turkey - still with only three players on the ice - by 7-5, and these two teams now share eight place, with two wins. While tenth-placed Japan are still looking for their first victory of the event.

They Said It:

Therese Westman (skip, Sweden) after 7-5 win over Japan: "That was a really important win. I'm back to playing fourth again and I feel really good, I have a lot of confidence. I think we might have momentum now to go on and win some more games."

Sophie Jackson (skip, Scotland) after 7-6 win over Turkey: "At long last we've got a win. We've not been playing bad, it's just been a few shots that haven't gone our way. But we're still not in a great position. We would want to be higher up with the wins but hopefully we can put together two more wins. I don't think we played better out there today - but we did put together a good ten ends. It was all about patience and we got that three in the eight end and that helped a lot."

RESULTS - Junior women session 7:

USA 7 - 3 Switzerland; Scotland 7 - 6 Turkey; Hungary 8 - 7 Russia (extra end); Japan 5 - 7 Sweden; Korea 4 - 9 Canada.
