The USA beat Switzerland by 9-3 in Friday evening's final session of men's round-robin play to stay at the top of the rankings and move directly to Saturday's Page 1 v 2 Play-off game.

There they will face Scotland, who took second place overall with an 8-2 win over Denmark.

The Page 3 v 4 Play-off will be between Switzerland, who finished fourth overall despite their loss to USA, and Canada, who were taken all the way by Russia before they won by 6-4 to claim third spot.

Behind these Page qualifiers, Norway, who beat Turkey by 11-4, finished fifth and Sweden finished sixth, thanks to their 9-2 win over Korea. All six of these teams have now qualified direct for the 2017 World Junior Curling Championships in Korea.

This means that Korea will be in the 2017 field as hosts, despite finishing tenth this year, and therefore the three other teams - Russia, Denmark and Turkey - have been relegated to next year's World Junior-B Championships.

They Said It:

Korey Dropkin (skip, USA) after 9-3 win over Switzerland: "We're just happy to be in the 1v2 game and we hope we have the momentum to come out strong in the next game. This is the first time in the Play-offs for me, so we just want to make the most of it and hopefully come home with a medal. I would say the difference this year is experience and getting used to a high level of curling and the whole team keeping our heads up. This is awesome, incredible. I love coming abroad and we're having a great time."

Matt Dunstone (skip, Canada) after 6-4 win over Russia: "We didn't have much control after our deficit earlier in the week, and we put ourselves in this position earlier in the week, so we can't be too mad about what's going on here. We're in the Play-offs, we've just got to get hot now. We're Canadians, we took the longer way, but you can get on a roll. We're going up against the three other best teams in the world here so we'll have to win tough, and if we bring our game there will be no doubt we'll end up on top."
