Scotland and USA both won again in Thursday afternoon's seventh session of men's round-robin play to remain locked together at the top of the rankings with only two round-robin games to go.

The style of their wins could not have been more contrasting. Scotland had a six-end 10-2 win over Turkey that saw then open with a score of two, add four points in the third end and then steal three in the fourth end on the way to their victory.

By contrast, the USA were taken all the way to an extra end by Sweden before claiming a 6-5 win without having to play their last stone as Sweden's skip Rasmus Wranaa just feathered a guard with his own last stone.

The two leading teams are being chased hard by Canada and Switzerland, and they both won in this session. Canada beat Turkey by 10-2 in just six ends while Switzerland had a 7-2 win over a Korean team that is still looking for its first win.

After a 9-3 win over Denmark, Norway now lie in fifth position and remain in the Play-off hunt.

They Said It:

Bruce Mouat (skip, Scotland) after 10-2 win over Russia: "We've still a few things to iron out but we're happy with how we're playing right now and if we keep playing the way we are, we'll give other teams some problems."

Korey Dropkin (skip, USA) after 6-5 extra end win over Sweden: "Every game is important here but that one was mightily important. Our boys fought hard and it was good to come out with a win, we stuck together and kept our heads up and stayed positive. The aim is not to mess up now. We'll just give it 100% every game, every shot and see if it comes out our way."
