Sport Media Trainees confirmed for 2017-2018 season

The World Curling Federation is delighted to announce the winners of its Sports Media Trainee Programme for the 2017-2018 curling season.

The winning candidates will join the World Curling Federation's media team at curling championships over the next six months.

WINNERS

Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships 2017 (St Gallen, Switzerland): 17-25 November

  • Kristian Ross, 23, from England and studying Journalism with English at Ulster University, Ireland
  • Eakin Howard, 18, studying Photojournalism at the Rochester Institute of Technology, United States


    World Junior Curling Championships 2018 (Aberdeen, Scotland): 3-10 March

  • Hayden Nollenberger, 20, studying Journalism and Mass Communication at University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States
  • Emile Gareev, 24, studying Light Technologies and Optoelectronics at ITMO University, Russia


    World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2018 (Oestersund, Sweden): 21-28 April

  • Dakshiani Palicha, 21, from India and studying International Journalism at City, University of London, England
  • Arta Uma Upmale, 20, studying Photography at Riga Stradins University, Latvia
