Winning Sport Media Trainees confirmed for 2016-2017

The World Curling Federation (WCF) is delighted to announce the winners of its Sports Media Trainee Programme (SMTP) for the 2016-2017 curling season.

The winning candidates will join the WCF media team at curling championships over the next six months.

WINNERS

Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships 2016 (Braehead, Scotland): 19-27 November

• Trainee Journalist: Jolene Latimer, 27, studying Advanced Sports Reporting at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA
• Trainee Photographer: Jeffrey Au, 22, studying Technology at Memorial University, Newfoundland, Canada

World Junior Curling Championships 2017 (PyeongChang, Korea): 16-26 February

• Trainee Journalist: Katerina Maryschuk, 21, studying Media and Communications at Trinity Western University, Langley, Canada
• Trainee Photographer: Thomas Rowland, 19, studying Photography at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, England

The winning candidates were selected anonymously by the WCF's selection panel on Thursday 20 October 2016.
