Russian President Vladimir Putin visits Olympic Curling Venue in Sochi

On the day marking exactly a year until the start of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Olympic curling Venue - the Ice Cube Curling Center.

He was met and shown the facility by World Curling Federation President Kate Caithness.
The XXII Olympic Winter Games will begin on 7 February 2014 and run until 23 February. The XI Paralympic Winter Games will be held from 7-16 March. www.sochi2014.com/en/games/
Preparations are currently underway at the Ice Cube Curling Center ahead of the start of the World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2013 on February 16. This will be the inaugural curling event to be held at the Venue and will serve as a test event for the paralympic wheelchair curling competition.
The World Junior Curling Championships 2013 will also be staged in the 'Ice Cube' from the 28 February to 10 March.
