About the European Curling Championships

The European Curling Championships have been held every year since 1975. The event is open to men’s and women’s teams from the World Curling Federation’s European Zone.

Final standings in the A Division determine the European qualifiers for the 2016 World Curling Championships.

Eight teams will qualify for the next World Women's Curling Championship as it is being held out with Europe.

Seven teams will qualify for the next World Men's Curling Championship as it is being held within Europe and hosts Switzerland gain automatically entry.

The Ford World Women's Curling Championship 2016 will be held in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada between 19 and 27 March 2016.

The World Men's Curling Championship will take place in Basel, Switzerland between 2 and 10 April 2016.
