World Curling Federation appoints new Competitions and Development Officer
The World Curling Federation is delighted to announce the appointment of Laura Mutch, from Aberdeen, Scotland as a Competition’s and Development Officer (CDO).
Mutch, a Sport and Exercise Science graduate from Aberdeen University has spent the last 13 years working at Curl Aberdeen as a development officer for Scottish Curling, before also becoming assistant manager of the curling club.
“I really enjoy working in curling and have learnt a lot from being part of a small team at Curl Aberdeen on many events,” said Mutch. “I am really looking forward to this new challenge and I’m excited to get started!”
“We couldn’t be happier having Laura agree to join the CDO team,” said Head of Competitions, Eeva Roethlisberger. “This will be a challenging season and having someone with Laura’s experience in the team will be invaluable.”
Head of Development, Scott Arnold added, “Her breadth of knowledge in development and her extensive experience in competition management will be very welcome in what is expected to be a busy 2021–2022 season.”
Mutch will begin her role as a World Curling Federation Competitions and Development Officer on Monday 16 August.
